Full Tilt Poker has announced that it will attempt to break the official Guinness World Record for the largest online poker tournament this Sunday. Currently the record is held by Poker Stars who last December boasted a tournament with 35,000 players.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at 15:05 (Eastern Time) on Sunday July 19th. 1000 Full Tilt Points of $5 gets you a seat in this possible historic event with a prize pool guaranteed at $250,000 (which would be the equivalent of 50,000 players) with another $250,000 being added to the pool making the total prize pool a minimum of $500,000.
