The largest online poker room, PokerStars, has had the Guinness Book of Records recognize yet another record. On Sept 6 PokerStars had 307,016 simultaneous players playing on 42,814 virtual tables. This new record bests the record Stars had previously set by over 100,000.
In a statement about the new record, PokerStars revealed that it has reached over 27 million players and that it has dealt over 33 billion hands of poker since it launched in 2001.
