Sammy Farha Wins Third WSOP Bracelet

June 16, 2010

in Rakeback News

Sammy Farha who gained infamy when he played Chris Moneymaker heads-up for the 2003 WSOP Main Event crown has always been a fan favorite. He recently took down his third WSOP bracelet in Event 25, $10,000 Omaha O8 High-Low Split. In addition to adding some more gold to his wrists he took down the $488,241 first prize payout.

For sure, Farha was going to be a tough competitor from the start as his other two WSOP bracelets are also for Omaha variants. His won his first WSOP bracelet in 1996 in the $2,500 PLO event and he won gold again in 2006 in the $5,000 Omaha H/L event. He’s also the author of “Farha on Omaha.”

But it wasn’t going to be easy for Farha either. At the final table sat three other WSOP bracelet winners: Abe Mosseri, Michael Chow, and James Dempsey. The match ended up heads-up between Dempsey and Farha with Farha finally sealing the deal on his third WSOP bracelet.

Below are all of the players who monied in the event.
